Truck Driver Dies after Accident with another Semi-Truck on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway

On Tuesday night a fatal accident occurred that left one truck driver dead. The accident happened on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway when two semi-trucks collided.

At around 11:20pm on Tuesday October 16, 2012, fifty year old William Gardner Jr. from Pennsylvania was heading east on the expressway when he rear ended another semi-truck causing a big accident. Gardner’s truck had hit a wall and he was ejected from the passenger side window. The other semi-truck hit the median.

Gardner had died immediately from his injuries. The other truck driver, a fifty one year old man, didn’t suffer from any injuries.

The accident is still under investigation. There is no suspicion of criminal intent.
